Layered navigation is not working for configurable product in Magento.

Go to catalog->Manage categories in main menu
Make sure Include in 'Navigation Menu' set as 'Yes' , and 'Is Anchor' set as 'Yes'.
if not set both as 'Yes', then clear the cache.
